Swords and Sorcery October Issue Arrives

The October issue of the long-running online mag is here, featuring three new stories: “The Fulminous” by E. G. Condé, “Where Are You Roaming?” by Joshua Hiles, and “Death Rides the North Wind” by Robert Mamone.

DMR Announces New S&S Anthology Series

DMR announced an anthology series, Die By the Sword, dedicated to new sword & sorcery fiction. They’re currently accepting open submissions, so check out their guidelines and take your shot!

Conan Continues in Comics Under Titan

Titan Comics, an offshoot of the same company producing the new licensed novels, will publish a new comic series starting in July 2023. The creative team at launch is writer Jim Zub and artist Roberto De La Torre. Titan also intends to continue the omnibus collections started under Marvel.

Artist Ned Dameron Dead at 79

Dameron died on October 20th of ALS. Among many other things, he was known for his work on Donald A. Grant’s editions of Robert E. Howard and Edgar Rice Burroughs, as well as for Dungeons & Dragons.

DMR Spotlights Harry Piper and Chuck Clark

DMR Books continues their indie author spotlight series with another writer from their recent Samhain Sorceries collection, Harry Piper, and Chuck E. Clark of the mighty Whetstone zine.
