Spiral-Con 1 Brings the Weird to VA

The good people at Spiral Tower Press are hosting their first convention this month. Spiral-Con 1 takes place at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia on July 30th and promises to bring together weird fiction and S&S fans for a day of socializing, gaming, panels, and more. Admission is free, though an RSVP is requested.

Rogues Release A Book of Blades

The long-awaited second anthology from the Rogues in the House podcast is here! A Book of Blades features short stories from modern S&S masters like Howard Andrew Jones, John C. Hocking, and Scott Oden, plus numerous up-and-comers. There’s even an art section featuring Sarah Frazetta, Morgan Galen King, Gilead, and more!

Baen Announces Fantasy Adventure Award Finalists

Every year, Baen Books hunts down the best adventure fantasy stories from undiscovered authors. This year’s finalists include Tales from the Magician’s Skull stalwart Greg Mele, and rumor has it some of the other stories are S&S as well. Best of luck to all the authors!

Blood on the Blade Wins Imadjinn Award

Blood on the Blade, the 2021 S&S anthology edited by Jim Beard and John C. Bruening, won the Imadjinn Award for Best Anthology at the Imaginarium Convention in Louisville this weekend. Congrats!

Whetstone Opens for Sixth Issue Subs

SDCC Conan Panel Promises Clues to the Cimmerian’s Future
